Architecture in a country where the light moves seasonally must respond seasonally. We design slowly because the buildings will stand for a century, and we restore even slower because the buildings we are working on have already stood for two.
Materials are sourced within 400 km when we can manage it. Lime mortar before cement. Timber before steel. Glazed brick where it makes thermal sense. A house is not a product — it is a slow agreement between the people who will live in it and the climate that will weather it.
